    Star Metroland Media is looking for an experienced, energetic and highly motivated sale professional to join our dynamic sales team in Toronto. The successful candidate will utilize creative strategies to customize a broad range of advertising options, both in print and digital. The successful candidate will leverage an innovative mindset to support clients in achieving their business objectives while also achieving company set personal monthly and annual targets.

    As a member of our HIGH PERFORMANCE sales team you will:

    • Manage an assigned sales territory where you will actively prospect new advertising revenue through new business development opportunities (print & digital) and cultivate long lasting, meaningful client relationships
    • Partner with clients in building their brand and/or generating awareness about their products, events and/or services
    • Develop  and present in-depth multi-platform solution proposals and business cases for prospective clients
    • Be accountable for achieving and exceeding annual targets(monthly, quarterly and annual) as well as year over year monthly revenue targets
    • Secure revenues for new and planned Special Feature and Custom Publishing opportunities
    • Build and foster  strong relationships with new clients
    • Respond to client queries and follow-up on all client calls and emails
    • Log daily sales activity into CRM on a daily basis
    • Create memorable and lasting client experience
    • Manage monthly pipelines to ensure gaps to budgets are satisfied
    • Grow new account base
    • Increase number of digital programs to complete account base

     

    Why You Will Be Successful:

    • 5+ years of demonstrated success in a similar role
    • A passion for building new client relationships and cultivating existing ones to create meaningful partnerships
    • Experience in the digital and/or print advertising space
    • Previous agency experience an asset
    • Dedication to achieving extraordinary results excellent oral & written presentation, communication and negotiation skills
    • Excellent time management skills, highly organized, detail oriented, efficient, ability to meet tight deadlines, ability to set priorities and manage daily tasks
    • Creative, efficient, flexible, entrepreneurial, collaborative and detail oriented
    • Strong influencing & communication capabilities: writing, presentation and design
    • Proven track record in profitable selling
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
    • CRM experience is an asset
