Perks and Benefits
Employee Value Proposition (i.e. why you’ll love working here)
While you might be forgiven for thinking that The Toronto Star is "old media" and couldn't possibly be as exciting as a many of the small start-ups you could be working for, you'd be wrong.
Our development team is full of smart people with oodles of experience building cool things. Many of us came to The Star from the start-up world, and we’ve brought that start-up mentality and culture right along with us. We have a lot of cool stuff to build.
We're looking for people who are interested in shaping the future of big media. We offer the opportunity to work with some of the finest development minds on the largest media sites in Canada, backed by a company that has been delivering content to its readers for more than a century.
You don't have to have a degree in computer science or any degree at all. We’ll take smart over educated any day of the week. Someone with a sense of humour, a keen eye for detail, and the tenacity to have read this far. Someone who's willing to join our team full-time and do excellent work day-to-day at our offices at 1 Yonge, right next to the lake.
Sounds like you?
